I chose Boudoir Photography as my style of photography because I love the confidence that this style of photoshoot gives to women. These shoots give women a sense of their own beauty and they help diminish some of their insecurities that they carried with them for so long.
Every woman is beautiful and deserves a day that is all about her.
This beautiful woman's shoot is a testimony for her and for others. Her words really touched me and I'd like to share them with you all.
Thank you! Thank you! to Priscilla for gifting me a photo shoot today to show women that no matter the reason you are bald(cancer, alopecia, etc.) we are still strong, fierce, sexy and beautiful! It was an awesome experience to have my make up done by Chimére L. Smith, who also has alopecia like me.
Society tells us that we have to have long flowy hair to be desirable or sexy. I remember putting a towel on my head as a child and pretending I had long blond hair. I remember when the dermotologist told me to take countless pills and injections but offered no guarantees. I remember crying all morning when I decided to finally chop my straggly locs out that were hanging on for dear life. I remember my 1st job interview as a bald woman and being so nervous I was sick to my stomach, why? all because I was not confident in being BALD. Its a daily process.
I want to thank my friends who have helped me along this hair loss journey. Your jokes and support are priceless.
I also want to thank my boyfriend for being there all the countless times I doubted my "looks" because of my being bald. In my weakest moments, he gave me a shoulder to cry on and he encouraged me to accept the BALD ME. He daily reassures me he loves me no matter how much hair I have. I love him!
And finally, I thank My Lord and Savior Jesus for using my life and my words to bless so many people that I encounter daily who have never seen a bald woman. I'm thankful He is using my experiences to encourage so many women who are battling female baldness and are suffering silently. May they find peace and acceptance in their journey.
